Name:Lieu of Clan Huu

Age: She has celebrated 18 new year's.

Appearance: Lieu has the coloring of her home, much more similar to the Earth Kingdom the Swamp resides in then the Water Tribes who's bending they share. As such, she has pale skin, though it will tan some in the sun, wavy dark hair that reaches below her shoulders and falls in her face and distinctively blue-green eyes. She's somewhat tall for a girl, around 5'4" or so as a height, though not towering, and she tends to have a slender, almost athletic build. She doesn't wear makeup daily, but if she's getting dressed up, she applies what she knows.

Attire:Lieu on her days off, tends to prefers to wear skirts to pants, and is often seen in a green skirt from her home of Foggy Swamp, a green top underneath a slightly oversized republic city jacket, sandals on her feet. When she is working at the police station, she wears the blue and white robed uniform, but often misplaces the cap for it. A signature part of her look is the vines she wears, which are either around her wrists almost like bracelets or used to tie back her long hair.

Biography: Lieu was born to her parents, Bao and Qui, during what is commonly called the Calm Season nearly 18 or 19 years ago. The exact date of her birth is lost to time, an unnecessary exactness to an area that marks time by storms and leaves then by pages of a calendar. She was their first child, though Hai, her brother followed nearly 2 years after and Thao the youngest five years after him. She was generally a sweet and kind girl, easily spoiled by her relatives, though always quick to want to please them if they gave her a job to do. the first consistent job she was given was to watch after her toddling brother, make sure he didn't fall into the waters that surrounded their homeland or batter the family catgator. Even for her age, she was rather adept at that, starting a life long desire to take care of others.

She showed her bending prowess early, when she was almost 5 years old, and her father soon taught her what he knew, and even begun demonstrating the tribal skill of plantbending, which was strongest in their clan. Still, the girl had plenty of time to explore the swamp around her, and perhaps surprisingly to those who saw a simply quiet girl willing to help around home, she often pushed the boundaries of where she could, climbing as high as she could or going as far into the dark swamp as allowed or beyond. She had plenty of friends to go exploring with or to play house, but she was often a target for a collection of older boys who believed their various heritages made them better. The beginnings of self-doubt that would plague her forever having their beginnings in their taunts that she would never be a plantbender, thanks to the nonbending Earth Kingdom heritage she had also inherited through her mixed mother. They also mocked her for the strange glow of water she could produce at random uncontrollable times, though fewer laughed when she found she could heal with it, often helping to hide the adventures one had behind a parent's back.

It wasn't until she was 12 that she got to prove them wrong, when Lien, an elder of the tribe and skilled herbalist and doctor of the tribe, picked her for her apprentice. By the time, she was 15, she was skilled enough to make simple visits on her own, and seeing her own medicine help people instilled a pride that was never easily shaken. She also started to grow out of the knees and elbows stage, though she would always remain long limbed and slim, causing a few of the boys who teased her to take a second look. One of these was Cao, oldest son of the elder of the largest clan. When she was 16, he asked her to go steady with him, and she agreed, much of the tribe celebrating and planning a marriage before their first kiss. But the relationship was far from fairytales, the older boy realizing that Lieu was an easily manipulated and doubted herself. Wanting to make sure she would never leave him, he played on these, alternately loving words with plain spoken insults, leaving her on a constant tilting plane of emotions, and agreeing to do what he wanted to make him happy. Including to agree to marry him when she no longer loved him.

Cao grew overconfident in his ability to manipulate her, and one day, attempted to start severing her bonds with her brother Hai, a freak in his mind. When the boy had proven to lack bending talents, he also proved to have a mind for engineering things to make up for the lack, Lieu often helping him with his various inventions. He hoped to turn her against him, and so dropped into a sentence a long avoided word for nonbenders, Mat'Than or 'no spirit'. Lieu, who accepted any insult to herself, came unglued at this, and before the screaming match was over, he was entangled in vines over both of their heads, and a broken engagement. It wouldn't be long after that Lieu would revisit an old dream, and decide to follow it. Stories of Avatar Aang and his friends were popular in the swamp, and the few tribe mates who traveled out of the swamp brought back new ones, including stories of Katara, master waterbender and healer. There had never been a true interest or a true ability to learn healing in the swamp, though others had the glowing water that Lieu did. It had always been a desire to learn how to do it like in the stories, but with the general attitude of the swamp against leaving home and her boyfriend who was xenophobic, she had quietly laid those dreams to rest. Now, in a newly awakened desire for independence, she used those dreams to escape the eyes cast to her, many of whom were disappointed in her ruining 'their' fairy tale wedding. By the time she was 17, she was heading to Omashu on the first train to Republic City.

It wasn't easy at first for the girl, nearly freezing on the streets on her first few weeks but between the kindness of strangers, many of whom became friends, and the inner trait of survival instinctal to all, and honed by a harsh environment to grown up in, she found work and a place to stay. She found her first trainer, Relav, and studied under him and with Tsuri, before the attacks of the Equalists, which separated them and ultimately led to Relav's demise by insanity. Still, Lieu persevered, and after taking classes for months, she finally was certified as a healer for the Republic City Police Department, where she now works.

Lieu has changed some since she first arrived in the city. While still the sweet girl who will help anyone who needs it (and a few who don't), she had found a more assertive streak in her that helps to quiet the self-doubts that still hang around. And in the times where they speak louder than her new found independence, she has plenty of friends to surround herself, her 'city' clan.

About
❦Lieu, even after learning traditional waterbending, prefers plantbending to all styles.

❦Lieu is not the strongest fighter, mainly preferring a defensive style. However attack a friend or family member, and she will go on the offensive, and it can be very brutal, though that makes her sick afterwards.

❦ Lieu watched her brothers from the time she could watch, so in general, she's protective over all kids, whether or not she knows them.

❦ She is willing to learn about any healing techinique or method, whether or not it's related to waterbending.

❦ She loves to learn about the different types of plants and she often makes new recipes for healing and tries them out on her friends.

❦ She has a sketchbook, which is mainly filled with Spirits and waterbending moves.

❦ Lieu has a flash temper, but she hates it about herself, so she does her best to cover it.

❦ Lieu is a very touchy person, but has learned to restrain it since moving to the city. However if she's drunk or otherwise close to you, she will be much more touching.

❦ If Lieu is mad with you, she will actually phyiscally withdraw from you, making every effort not to touch you even by accident.

❦ Lieu hates to be underground, thanks to getting stuck in a cave when she was six, and so has an almost phobia like fear.

❦ Lieu does a special ceremony for the dead, usually around the new moon. She goes to Avatar Aang's Memorial Island, when it's dark and no one else is around, and sets up a small stand with incense. She chants prayers and sends flowers out on the waters, where they will travel to the world of the dead.

Lieu couldn’t help but smile at Mineko’s words. Home had felt empty without the earthbender hanging around, the two of them teasing back and forth. She giggled and kiss her girlfriend one more time before spinning back around to cook. From behind she heard Neko jump up on the counter and she shook her head. “Don’t knock anything over or else there’s no dinner.”

It didn’t take her long to finish up the fish and noodles, piling it alltogether on a platter and bringing it to the table, waving for the officer to follow her. She had to move a few books, hurriedly tucking a sickeningly pink book away on a shelf. Even though Mineko knew of her secret love of romance books, she was still embarassed by them a little bit. “Alright, here we are. Later I’ll make something more special, but I figured ya didn’t want to starve waitin’ for a feast.” Like Neko, the grin was permantly glued to her face, and she reached out for her hand to pull her towards the table.

Mineko grinned knowingly as Lieu tucked away her little pink book, still obviously shy about her guilty pleasure. It was nice to see that not too much had changed during her absence. The earth bender was lost in thought once more, taking in all the familiar sights, sounds and smells of the apartment only being pulled out when she felt a cool hand slip into her warm one. Her grin returned as she kept a hold on the swamp benders hand, making her sit close.

“I don’t need anything more than this, you’re such a fine cook.”She boasted before Lieu’s hand, reluctant to let it go for even a moment. The earth bender had been immensely lonely in the other city. After a moment of rubbing her thumb over her girlfriends hand she released it, serving herself and Lieu she dug in almost immediately, though, she did manage to keep herself from scarfing it down.

She could feel her cheeks turning pink at Mineko’s words, resisting the urge to shake her head in disagreement. Honestly, she didn’t agree, but tonight was too happy to have her back to risk even the slightest bit of arguing. And why not accept it the compliment, when it was accompanied by the touch of her girlfriend’s hand across the back of her hand? Even after their hands parted, she could feel the ghost of it on her own, and she smiled at the thought even as the food was portioned out.

Some quick murmured words of thanks to the spirits for bringing her girlfriend home and then she too dug in, though keeping her pace slower, waiting to fill the empty spots on Neko’s plate as they appeared, wanting her to have plenty. “Did ya get to eat well in Omashu?”

She placed her chopsticks down  as she leaned against the back of her chair. Wiping her mouth, Mineko thought back on her time in the Earth Kingdom. She had been playing the role of a vagrant, working to win trust with those working in the prostitution ring as extra eyes and ears for the criminals as well as being muscle when they asked, all while working for the cops. “Not really, I was on the streets for good portion of my stay.” She picked up her utensils once more “I had to be convincing.” She explained before popping a vegetable into her mouth.

The worst part about her sty there had been acting like a thug, playing along as they took from the weaker. That, and having to hide her metal bending meaning she had to give up her prosthetic. Mineko had decided that undercover work wasn’t her strong suit, or her favorite, but it sure was exciting.

“I did get to go to this great tea shop, you would have loved it. They had so many different blends on the menu it was almost overwhelming, but you know me. I just got my mint tea.” She chuckled at herself, the metal bender was horrible about trying teas and always ended up getting the same thing.

“Street livin’?” She made a face, having never really liked that. She had done it for a time when she first came to the city, but it left her with a bad taste in her mouth. It was nothing like camping out among the trees and water back in the swamp, where she knew the land could provide for her even if no other tribe members were near. It was a hard life and she always felt sympathy for those who were on them for real. “I’m sorry but it seems like ya were convincin’. So hey, good right?”

She tapped her chopsticks, once more glancing over Mineko, as if looking for injuries first missed when seeing her. Truth be told, she had worried like crazy while Mineko was gone, not liking the no contact rule and not knowing if she would come back or when. If it was up to her, Neko wouldn’t do anymore of them, but there was no way she would get in the way of her career. Not really.

At the mention of the tea shop, she laughed, finally going back to eating. “All of that, and ya stuck with mint. Couldn’t ya even get a mint blended with somethin’ else?” Of course she had to shake her head, being completely opposite of Neko on that, trying any kind of tea at least once, but at least her girlfriend’s obession with mint made things easy for her around gift giving time. “While ya were gone, I took a long trip back home.”

She kissed her back softly her fingers on the cheek of her wife. “Lieu you never have to make it up to me. I love you and that is all that matters.” she said trying not to tear up. “I’ve missed you so much. I’ve missed our kids and us being a family.”

She pulled Lieu toward the small bedroll where the wrapped blankets around them. “Lieu your shivering..are you gonna be okay?”

She leaned into the kiss, never deepening it, just enjoying being close to her wife once more. Even when they parted, she clung to Dara, as if afraid letting her go would make her disappear. “I’ve missed ya too, and bein’ a family.”

She let herself be dragged to the bedrolls, nodding at her question before pulling Dara closer to her. “Jus’ hold me okay?”

Dara was not used to this clingyness but she nodded holding on to her. She did what she often did when one of their kids had a bad dream. She placed Lieu in her lap and she wrapped her arms around her in strong hug and she hummed softly a lullaby that she sang to her kids

She moved to kiss her forehead softly. “I love you so much..”

Despite the small difference in heights, she slipped into Dara’s lap, head leaning against her shoulder. The song was enough to soothe her enough to come out of the desperate turbulence sweeping inside of her, though she still held on. The kiss to her forehead made her smile, lifting her own head. “I love ya so much, and I’m sorry it took me so long to realize that. Tell me how I can make it up to ya and I will. Even if ya asked me never to come back here…”The words stuck in her throat, but she nodded, swallowing back a dry sob as she finished. “I would.”

Dara held on to her wife as she sat in her lap and she spoke “You can make it up to me by never doubting yourself and let us never fight like this again.” she said taking her wife’s hand and kissing it softly.

She smiled a bit happy to have her wife back and she missed having her in her arms,

She nodded, the smile lingering on her face and when Dara’s lips pressed to her hand, she leaned back to look at her. “I can do that.” Once more, she leaned in to kiss her wife, arms cautiously wrapping around Dara’s waist. “I can really do that, and I will, I promise.”

She too, had missed them being like this, and not just the physical closeness, though for Lieu, that was so important. She missed the smile that would stretch her face when she saw Dara, how her heart lept at the sound of her voice. How could she ever give that up?

I swear I’m alive, I swear I am.

Okay, me checking in, doing what replies I can, and reassuring you all I’m okay. Haven’t always felt okay, but I’m okay. The move hasn’t been the easiest emotionally, and it’s harder with my mom struggling ten times worse then me with it, and me trying to be strong for her. I actually had a little bit of breakdown the other day,(which oddly, since i’ve felt alot better and is why I’m here now) and my energy is sapped most days and even on the days I’m on, I just can’t focus. I don’t know if it’s full on depression, but it’s fairly similar, so I’m kinda just trying to work through it as I can. Again, don’t worry, I’m not hurting myself or anything, just trying to give you guys an idea of what’s been going on so you guys are aware.

In other news, I’m going to roll Pabu and Jia over into side blogs off of Bai Huli’s blog, and just make that my ‘lesser’ oc’s blog. I don’t have the time to really pursue so many characters, obviously, and those two are my least favorite. Not that i don’t like them, I do, but they weren’t neccessarily my ideas that I came up with, but rather me trying to interpret fan ideas for me to write with. I don’t want to delete because they do have some storylines of their own that’s cool, but I’m just going to be honest, I’m not going to pursue many more roleplay things with them. I just can’t. So I’m going to try and do that some time this week and any future replies on rp posts will be made from there. I’m not going to delete their blogs, not right away at least, so that way I and the people I play with, can just follow the plots back. Probably when new threads start up, I’ll delete the blogs.

As for everything else, I’m working on trying to get back more, but i’m also trying to be more honest about what I can devote time wise. I was never the best ‘both people are on, let’s go back and forth’ and especially now, that’s just probably the best play style for me. I’m going to probably drop doing M!Anons and such because again, those are more immediate play stuff, and I just can’t really promise them. I’ll do fun ideas similar to them, but it will probably be more thematic. Like change all of my characters to varying monsters/supernatural creatures for the month of october or something like that. It’s something I can guarantee. I’ll change some of my blog rules to reflect that, and I’ll stop reblogging the m!anons things or asking for them. Questions are still really welcomed though! I love them, just be aware it might be a few days before you get a reply, but I will get them.

As far as fic requests and such, I’ll have to do very limited things. I honestly burned myself out on them and while I can feel the urge to write come back, I need to watch that I don’t burn out again. I have a tendency to get super obessed with things and then drop them completely when I burn out on them and I came close to doing it with roleplay honestly, and i don’t want to do that. Not only do I enjoy the heck out of it, but I have friends here who I miss like crazy. But I need to make sure I don’t burn out again, and lead to what was kinda happening the few months before I moved where I was promising and dropping and just otherwise being a mess. I don’t like that, I’m not proud of it, and I need to keep myself from stretching myself out like that because I want to do everything and all of that. Again, I’m so sorry, and any of this can change in the future, but for right now and the next few months, that’s the best I can promise.

So once more, I’m here, I’m well, and I miss you all. I can’t say when I’ll next sign back in though I hope it’s very soon, but I can say I will be back when I can.

Love

Megan

Okay going to sleep now

Okay back for real.

I’ve got the swamp siblings done (Hai’s are gonna show at around 6 my time so in like two hours) and i’ll get the ocs done tomorrow. I think I have it figured out for me to get an hour or so to catch up and keep up, but I can’t promise alot of involvement right now still. So for that, I’m sorry people, but I’m making a stronger effort now, and it felt really good to get this done, and I can’t wait to get myself back in full swing right now.

Anyone who had a rp storyline going on, let me know if you still want to keep it going or drop it. If you’ve already dropped it, please let me know so I know not to post for it. I don’t blame you either, I know I’ve been away and promised to come back much sooner then I did and for that I’m sorry.

Basic ideas for what kept people so long away, not set in stone.

Swamp Siblings: Someone in the family took deathly sick/got injured (seriously debated killing Lien, the grandmother figure, and it’s still on the table while i’m thinking).

Bai Huli: Broken leg took her out of ‘work’ for awhile.

Pabu:Nearly got busted for stealing and ended up having to go into hiding for a while.

Jiayang: Not sure yet, but illness is a likely candidate.

Thank you for putting up with me.

Okay, hopefully be back to more regular posting in a few days

What’s eating up most of my time is trying to find a place to stay permanently (My dad’s new work is paying for two months temporary rent but we need a permanent place) and helping keep my mom from a nervous break down, so yeah, roleplay as much as I truly and dearly miss it, is sort of low on the totem pole. But I’m trying to work out some time management things to help me out, so cross your fingers.

Also, trying not to have a fuckign heart attack because maybe the confederate flag at the state capitol should’ve been a clue, but uhh, major culture shock. Someone just asked my mom as we were calling about, if we were white or (forgive me for using this) ‘colored’. When my mom answered that yes, we were all white, they told us good since they didn’t rent to people of color.

PEOPLE STILL FUCKING DO THIS IN THIS DAY AND TIME?????????????  Like seriously??? I mean, I’ve grown up in the South, so I know all the subtle signs of it, but……holy fuck. Please tell me this is not everyone in South Carolina, please tell me this is some crazy old white lady who’s a standby from an older generation.

sorry I haven’t been around

I should be back tomorrow and ill explain what’s going on then as well. I’m okay, no emergencies or anything just me struggling to balance my time.

I’m back!!!

Sorry for the wait, and some will have to wait until late tonight, but I’m back. Had some internet issues and such, but they are resolved and my roleplay mojo, while rusty now, is back! So, I’ll still be the slow partner but hopefully it’ll be hours or at most a day or so that you have to wait, not weeks. Thank you for putting up with me! *bows*

She grinned as Hesh followed along, the smile softening as she looked back into Mineko’s face. It was such a relief in a way to have Mineko here again in her place, filling the echoes in the empty space she left behind.

She had paused long enough to wait for Mineko’s answer, leaning on the small counter space between them. “Surprise ya, huh? I”ll try.” With another grin, she leaned in closer, stealing a soft kiss from the earthbender, before turning back around to start chopping some things. Every once in a while, she toss a small piece of a carrot or a herb down for Hesh to gobble up. “So, where ya able to do any sightseein’ in Ba Sing Se?”

Mineko gave a pleased hum at the soft kiss, she had imagined Lieu’s soft kisses thousands of times, but imagined kisses never compared to the real thing. She stayed leaning against the counter as the healer returned to chopping and preparing various ingredients “I saw a little, I was mostly in the lower and middle rings. I did learn some Di lee techniques from the police there. Oh, and I got to see the zoo, it was pretty amazing.”

She grinned, remembering that she had something and her flesh hand dove into her pocket, digging around a moment before placing a small bag of seeds on the counter and a small box “I got something for you swamp princess.”

She grinned as she heard that familiar hum, her hand resting on Mineko’s arm for just a moment before she busied herself cooking. The fish was set aside into a pan, already seasoned, and she busied herself with cutting up the garnishes, letting it cook. “The zoo? The same one built by the Avatar?” She had heard the stories when she came to the city, and had always been curious about it. “That sounds like fun, and so does the Dai Lee thing.”

Lieu didn’t pay much attention as Mineko dove into her pocket, taking the time to add some more spices to the fish, checking on it. So when she turned back around, she was surprised by the items on the counter. She first picked up the seeds, grinning widely. “I can’t wait to plant these and see how they grow!” Her fingers traced the bag a moment more, before she picked up the box, shaking it gently. “Ya really didn’t have to do all of this, jus’ havin’ ya home is good for me.”

“Mhm.” She affirmed “I had never seen so many different kinds of animals, they had this huge catgator that they claimed was one of the largest.” Mineko grinned as she leaned in to smell the food cooking, Lieu had chosen to make fish, something that she loved.

“I thought you might like the seeds, they’re these flowers that make for really good tea.” Mineko bit the inside of her lip as Lieu tried to figure out what was in the small box. She was a little nervous, she knew the swamp bender wasn’t much for jewelry, but when she had seen this piece she thought of Lieu. She gently pulled the box away from her and licked her lips out of nervousness. “I uh, I thought of you when I saw this..” She opened the lid slowly revealing a silver ring that looked like a tiny vine, the delicate veins of the leaf accented with gold.

She looked up from her chopping as Mineko mentioned catgators, trying to ponder that out. “I’m impressed if they did. Most people like smaller catgators because they’re easier to control. Cao had one that was as nearly as long as my brother is tall.” And then she had to pause, wondering at how she felt or rather didn’t feel. For the first time in a long time, there was no pangs over Cao, no anger, nothing. He was simply a person she kows. And with that she flashed Mineko a bright smile, not sure how to tell her what had just happened.

“Tea? Well, ya know I always like that. And there’s enough seeds here I can do some experiments with it. Carefully.” A small giggle joined her words, remembering her last experiment and the very unlikely but welcome side effects. Then Mineko opened the box and as she looked inside, she gasped. “Neko, it’s so pretty!”

Glancing up as if to ask if she could pull it out, she soon slipped it on a finger, admiring it there before coming around the counter. Sweeping Mineko up into a tight hug and a whispered ‘thank ya’ as she leaned in to kiss and show her how much she liked her surprise.

Mineko beamed, pleased that Lieu liked the delicate ring and the seeds. A light blush painted her ears and cheeks at the mention of one of the swamp benders experiments, now, that had been fun. She was ready for Lieu as she rounded the counter and wrapped her in a tight embrace. The earth bender eagerly returned the kiss, her flesh hand coming up to tenderly stroke her girlfriends cheek. Her calloused rough touch a stark contrast to the gentleness Lieu always brought out in her.

She leaned in and kissed Lieu once more, speaking against her lips, a soft grin still present “Well, it’s only right that a swamp princess have the finest.”

Lieu couldn’t stay long in her arms, not if she was to finish cooking, but there was no way that she was rushing this moment. Mineko had always made her feel protected, secure, even with something as simple as a hug like this. The tender touches only made her smile, pressing her cheek into her hand.

Still, the swamp princess comment made her smile back against her lips, and she shook her head as she finally, regretfully, pulled away. “I don’t think too many would agree with ya there, but thank ya all the same Boa Ve. Now, let me get the dinner finished for ya. After all, my best knight deserves a reward too, right?”

“I don’t care about what other people think, you’re my Cong Chua.” The grin seemed stuck to her now, feeling happy and relaxed now that she was home. “You do have a point, well at least my stomach agrees with you about dinner.” She chuckles and jumped up to sit upon the counter, her legs swinging slightly as she scratched Hesh’s head.

Mineko hummed as she watched Lieu work around the kitchen. She had enjoyed the adventure of Ba Sing Se, but nothing compared to being home with Lieu. It had very little to do with location, in all honesty, the swamp native had become Mineko’s home in a sense. Anywhere was home as long as she had her swamp princess.

She kissed her back softly. The firebender who had been cold was warming up and she spoke “I promise never to leave you again.” she said as she leaned in and kissed her wife’s cheek.

“I missed you so much Lieu..I missed you touch, your warmth and It took me almost loosing you forever to know that what I had was so precious and wonderful. Please..keep me from ever hurting you again.”

She stayed with her head bowed, still trying not to cry even as she nodded. “I promise I won’t leave ya again either. I know I hurt ya, and I’m so very sorry. I miss ya so much, having ya wrap yer arms around me at night and playin’ with our kids…” Lieu shook her head, standing up for a moment.

Only for a moment, as she then awkwardly tried to copy the firenation bow, ending with her forehead against the dirt, arms outstretched. “Somehow, I will make it up to ya, I swear I will.”

She spoke “No no get up get up please.” she said weakly trying to pull the waterbender up off the ground. She whiped the dirt off her wife’s face and she spoke. “Lieu..I love you please dont bow.” she slowly wrapped her arms around  Lieu and cried sobbing aganist her.

“I missed you so much, I missed you so much…so …so much.”

She slowly comes back up, letting Dara wipe her face clean. She too leans against Dara crying as well. “I’ve missed ya so much. Ya don’t know how much. I’m the one who’s made such a mess of this. Please forgive me.”

She speaks as she kisses her softly “Always..I will always forgive you.” she held her wife in her arms as moved into the small hut. She set the blanket down using her bending to help warm the shealter so it was warm and cozy aganist the chilled air.

Dara whipped the rain water off her wife even though she knew she could bend it away. She wanted to feel her soft skin. She even went behind her and dried off her bare shoulders kissing the soft skin as she dried it. Her fingers working at her wifes hair hoping to dry it.

Even as the shelter around them warmed up, Lieu shivered until Dara was again by her, fingers trailing against her skin. The kiss to her shoulder made her smile through the last of her tears, and when Dara went to fight with her hair, she tugged at her wrist. “No, leave it. Be with me please?”

Again she tugged, pulling Dara closer to her, kissing her gently. “Tell me how I can make it up to ya. However ya want me to do it, I will, jus’ say the word.”
