//seriously if you don’t like what an RPer ships - get over yourself.

This is RP, it’s for FUN. If you don’t want to see it then unfollow for godsakes. Don’t bash it for being OOC - we all come up with our head canons, we all have our own ideas about how characters are portrayed.

It’s not like we’re shoving this shit down your throat.

Also adding on, that if you don’t like a muse or how someone plays a muse, don’t give them shit about it either.

We’re doing this because it’s fun for us, not to entertain you. Go commission a writer or an artist or something if you want to see exactly what you want.

So…I will be hosting a LOK all-nighter TINYCHAT party for the people who are planning to stay up for the Amazon release! I’ll be posting up the link at 12EST and we can chat until it comes out! Please reblog and spread the word!

Hi! Do you have any tips on running a memories blog, or any good examples of one? Thanks loads!

rphelper:

I’m assuming you mean like a scrapbook blog? I ran one for my last RP Portlandia, which can be found here. Some tips:

  • Choose a clean theme that’s like a mosaic. It makes it look nice and cohesive.
  • Find “hipster” blogs that post faceless photos and reblog from those.
  • Tag each photo with the character it could represent, and have a tag list.
  • Utilise “photo hunts.” Save images from those and put them in drafts or in the queue after tagging them.
  • Use the queue and set it to post a few times a day, and queue up a lot at once so you don’t have to remember to post every now and then.

I hope that helps!

PSA regarding Smut:

We do not have to write smut. If a relationship comes to the point where they are having sex, at no point in time do we have to write smut. And no, just because you’re over 18, that doesn’t mean you have to write smut. If you don’t want to? I don’t to either, then. Because, this is about enjoying writing. Not doing something you’re uncomfortable with. There’s such things as fading to black, and time skipping. It’s as simple as that. Just, say the word, and no writing smut. It’s that easy. All I ask, though, is that you SAY SOMETHING! I can’t know that you don’t feel comfortable writing it, even in just that particular pairing, if you don’t say something!

"No, we haven’t." Lieu turned to the man with a curious gaze, feeling like she should recognize him from somewhere. Still, she offered her hand to him, a slight smile on her lips.

"I’m Lieu, and ya are?"

"Enemies? How? I mean, ya just collectin’ rent money, right?" Lieu crossed her arms, wondering just what was he going on about. Her own landlord had a few residents that he had trouble with, but nothing that made him jumpy.

"Well i do more then collect rent. I work for an investor, and it can be a dangerous field sometimes." He pulls out a cigarette and lights it. "One of the many reasons i smoke and drink."

That still didn’t make much sense to her, though she didn’t know much of anything about investments or investors. But neither sounded threatening and to be so closely watching one’s surroundings, it had to because something dangerous was coming. She couldn’t help the wrinkle of her nose, though she quickly schooled her face. “Sounds awfully stressful t’ me. Ya have my condolences.”

okay, heading off to bed, replies in the morning or sometime Friday. See ya’ll later!

19. “I don’t know.”

"Hmm, my friends were lookin’ for some waterbendin’ act. Somethin’ ‘bout a pair of twins? I was supposed t’ go along as the waterbender of the group." She laughed, brushing her hair back from where it fell in her face. "I just got here a few minutes or so ago, I ain’t ready to leave."

Carabella smiled. “Oh, you’re looking for Lana and Miru’s act. That’s an easy find. You just look for the big ring of rocks around a pool of water. I’ll show you the way.” She gestured for the girl to follow. “I’m Carabella, the Crescent Island Traveling Players’ main acrobat.”

"Lana and Miru….got it. And thanks." She bowed her head as she thanked her, following her lead out of the tent. "I’m Lieu, the wanderin’ swampbender." She giggled, making a mock title for herself as a mirror to Carabella’s own real title. :Acrobat, huh? So you do all those fancy tight rope tricks and flips and such, right?"

"That’s about the gist of it. I also do mixed performances with some of the other troupe members," Carabella said.

"Oh, that sounds really interestin’. I don’t have anythin’ too special. Well, I got this." She held out her right arm where both vines had been twisted, moving her fingers to ease one off and bend into an a S like shape on her palm of her hand. "I can do fancy tricks like that, but that’s about it."

"Hey, do you mind if I sit here?"

Lieu was at her favorite tea shop, notebook in hand when the younger spoke. She jerked, blinking her eyes a few times before nodding. “Go right ahead, I’m jus’ lookin’ over some notes.”

Thank god.

He wasn’t sure if everyone had made it out, but that was definitely Lieu’s voice, so at least she was safe. “It’s Roda, hold on. There’s some earthbenders and firebenders out here trying to get through.” However, while the officers were making attempts to clear the vines, they were clearly holding back for fear of harming any survivors. Roda decided to put his theory to the test and brought water up around his hands. As the water started glowing, he held it towards the vines. They shrunk away, but the effect was weak, and he could feel the pressure of them trying to grow back.

Using one hand to attempt to ward off the vines and another to try to push them aside, he managed to make a small opening. Once it was large enough to enter, he froze the area around them to hold them back and dived through, just about making it before the vines smashed through the ice and shut behind him.

With the light cut off, he brought the water back to his hand and used it to create a faint glow in order to see. The vines had all but stopped growing now, and he was in a small cavern created by a combination of them and the rubble. Looking down, he saw a still arm trapped underneath a section of the roof. He checked but found no pulse. “Go in peace,” he murmured, briefly bowing his head before continuing to make slow progress towards the sounds of breathing.

"Okay…"

No, not okay, but panicking had only proved to be more painful, so she tried to relax, even singing a few bars of what she could remember of some songs back home. It wasn’t doing much to calm her racing heart, but at least it seemed to make her appear calmer.

The vines did seem to be still in fact now, their growing paused or even stopped. With that in mind, she tried again to bend the vine off her arm, cooing to it as she did, as if that would calm it down. Still, she could barely loosen it. There was enough room for her to pull her arm out if she accepted a dozen or more cuts on it, but how to keep it from tightening up again?

Pondering on that mystery was more effective at calming her, hand feeling around carefully for a clue or something. That something turned out to be a broken support rod. Lieu examined it, even creating a small ball of illuminated water to look at it. The light faded quickly, the amount of tea too small really to bend, but it gave her an idea.

"Okay, one two three.." Counting aloud for her own benefit, she held the rod below her trapped arm, the position very awkward. At three, she yanked her arm and slid the rod in, the plant siezing around it, and not any of her limbs. With a sigh of relief she leaned back against the wall. Then the stinging sensation of cuts sank in and she hissed.

Now, problem two. How to get out of here? The panic started to rise again, and she started singing, hoping it would be enough. At the very least, it would help people to find her, right?

"He owns the corner store. You would be surprised how much money it makes. I’m the person he trust to collect the money." Jack points to the little store over on the corner. He then looks over his shoulder quickly and the back at Lieu.

"Oh, okay. Interestin’. For some reason, ya don’t strike me as bein’ into books, but I guess yer boss is." Lieu gave him a second look over, before shrugging. There was something that seemed rough about him, but the same could be said for her brother.

Still, his little look over his shoulder made her tilt her head. “Am I keepin’ ya?”

"What? No im just being paranoid. I have made a few enemies in my work."

"Enemies? How? I mean, ya just collectin’ rent money, right?" Lieu crossed her arms, wondering just what was he going on about. Her own landlord had a few residents that he had trouble with, but nothing that made him jumpy.
